1. Find and remove your family treasures - photos, personal papers, furniture, etc.
2. Remove perishable/outdated foods, prescription medications, worn undergarments and open/used medical supplies.
3. Do not discard anything else from the property; you never know what we may find to be of value! Yes, we even sell open cleaning supplies!
4. Provide suitable homeowners' insurance during the preparation of and during the sale.
5. Provide proof of executorship, if appropriate.
6. Allow us to do our job without interruption. We understand this is a very difficult and emotional time for you, but being in the house the week of the sale makes the entire experience more painful and very difficult for our team to work properly.
7. Clothing: vintage sells, new doesn’t. If you’re unsure, leave it in the house and we’ll remove what we know won’t sell and deliver to the thrift store.
There is always a temptation to clean out everything from the house before we arrive. Please, don’t! It really is true that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. You have no idea what we may see as sellable in what the family views as trash!
